Need Assist With Formula Creation

I'm using Office 2000 Pro (Excel) and usually do okay with formulas but I am
stuck with the following:
G1 = $amt
H1 = G1 less 20%
J1 = G1 less 80% + I1 (I1 = $amt)

Try these:

H1: =G1*0.8
J1: =G1*0.2 + I1
