I told you wrong the first time...there is no blank row between famil
listings, so macro as it is doesn't work...how can it be fixed?? Her
is my previous post, minus the blank row.

I have 6600 entries that I need to fix. They are set up as follows:
a1-name...b1-address...c1-phone...b2.-city, state, zip
then in a3 the next person is listed, and so on.
I know how to add a new column to move c1 info to d1, and manually mov
b2 info up to c1, but that will take forever. Can someone give me th
formula to do it quickly (and to delete the info in b2)? I want to us
mail merge in WORD when I'm done, just so you know. I'm also limited i
my EXCEL knowledge so please break it down for me so I can understand.
would be SO grateful for any help.

Thanks

Roger, it is better to stay with the same post instead of starting a new one

Untested but try changing Step -3 to Step -2, backup your data first

I may be misunderstanding this but are you just asking for a quick way to
delete 3300 rows?

if so then go to A1 hold down shift and control and press the end button.
this will select the entire range, once selected click on the sort button
that's the one with an A--> and Z on it or press tools-->sort that'll sort
your values therefore if a cell is blank then it'll be grouped with the
other blank cells. If you need to keep your rows in order then select column
A right click your mouse and select insert then in cell A1 type 1 and in a2
type 2 and drag both cells down so that each row has a unique value sort by
column b then select the cells with values and sort by column A

Let me know if this helped
