Been trying to figure out for weeks why mediaplayer 9 object embedded in an
Access 97 form locks SAMI file after playing wmv9 video clip. Can anyone
help?
When playing the same video clip with the standalone media player, it
releases the SAMI file after closing the media player.
The only way that I have been able to release the SAMI file is to close
Access 97. Even after closing the database the SAMI file remains locked
unless I close the Access 97 application. The wmv9 media clip is released
without any problems. I am using windows explorer to try and delete the SAMI
file to check whether it is locked or not. It won't let you delete it unless
the Access97 aplication is closed. No such problems with the wmv9 video
clip.
