Need help on HELP

When I click the ? in the top right hand part of my Access 2007 window, and
then search on "linked tables" it only gives me a bunch of articles.
Where's the reference manual? I just want to know how to link a table AND
HOW TO UNLINK A TABLE (not yelling, just can't underline or bold.) The
"linked table manager" icon seems to only allow me to update the location of
the tables that are already in the list. Obviously I once put them in the
list, but I can't remember how, and I want to remove one of them, and can't
figure that out. The miscellaneous articles about SharePoint and this and
that aren't any help.

There IS no "reference manual" anymore: there hasn't been one for many
versions of Access.

You could try looking at the Help and Tutorial information at
http://office.microsoft.com Alternatively, you may have to buy a book on
Access.

However, in response to your specific question, just delete the linked
table. That deletes only the link: not the actual table to which the linked
table points, so you won't actually be deleting anything.

HI LAS.

I'm not sure what version of Access you're using, but for many of them, you
link to a new table by going to the Database window and then selecting File -
Get External Data - Link Tables from the main menu.

To delete a linked table, just go to the list of tables in the Database window,
single-click on the one you want to delete and press the Delete key. As the
other replier said, this deletes only the link, not the actual table itself.
