Need help: Project Server Views Notification Service doesn't function

Hi All!

I have a problem with Project Server Views Notification Service in
Microsoft Project Server 2003.

When I try to activate the OLAP cube the service crashes (with a
message in the event log).
When I try to stop the service, it also refuses (I need to reboot or
kill it manually).

This might have been caused by install over install the server has, or
because of changing the project server database improperly (by Gary
Chefetz proecedure).

Help will be appreciated.

I haven't yet published so much as a white paper on 2003.
