Need Help: Query Error From Excel

I have several Excel workbooks that contain queries into an Access database.
They have worked very well for a long time. Today I started getting this
error message, and I can't figure out what's going on:

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Record is deleted.

I get the message when I attempt to update one of the queries in the Excel
workbook. Does anyone know what it's really telling me?
