Need help to recover calendar Outlook 97

Need to restore calendar function in Outlook 97 (I'm on Windows98
second edition). I don't know what I've done but Outlook won't let me
start. It complains about an email problem. I never used Outlook for
email.

When I try to start Office I get a message that says "Unable to open
your default mail folders. Outlook could not start because a location
to send and receive mail could not be found. To add a location go to
Control Panel...."

If I proceed and say I'll work off line and click on the Calendar icon
it then says "Unable to display folder. The folder no longer exists".

I made an image of my system a month ago so I can restore whatever I
have to.

I would appreciate help to get my Outlook calendar working again.

Hi Tom,

Sounds like a corrupt profile so you will probably want to create a new
Outlook profile then open your old PST to access your Calendar.

Harvey, thanks for responding.

based on your response I screwed this thing up myself. For some dumb
reason I revoved the email profile, what ever it was this morning
because I never use Outlook for email. I use Outlook Express.

However, I'm not that familiar with Outlook. If fact I only use if for
the calendar function. When you say create a new profile what do I do?
When I try to open OUTLOOK it says it won't open as I stated before.
Where, how do I set up this new profile?

Will Outlook then open? HOw do I then acces my pst file?
