Hello,
I've had this problem before, fixed it, but now it's cropped up again after
an office reinstall, and of course I don't remember how I fixed it.
I have a Data access page that used to work fine, and I've used it to add
about 400 records to the data base. Then, recently, I had to reinstall office
(2002). And I did not install Access.
Now, whenever I try to add records (to an .mdb, using the data access page
as a FE) I get the following (not very helpful) error: "Data provider or
other service returned an E-FAIL status." I also receive this error when
trying to add a record using the FE on another computer. The MDB resides on
the server, and I'm using UNC's in the code.
Can anyone suggest where to start? This is the second time I've posted this
question today, sorry for the repeat, but the first time it did not post.
