Hi. I have newly installed Project Server 2003 with Sharepoint Server.

My question is this: I have a master project and a resource pool. This
was all implemented in before installing project server. The master
project has many sub projects that are simply linked into it. I have
several users that can access and write to any project except the
master project and the resource pool.

What I need to do is setup two groups: one for read/write access to all
projects (including the master project and resource pool), and one for
read/write access to all the projects EXCEPT the master project and
resource pool.

Please Advise.

Thanks in advance!

David:

If you're serious about using Project Server, then your entire project world
is about to change. The way you've got things setup now, is the best
possible approach to using project to centrally manage resources and share
them among projects when you are not using Project Server. However this
construct is not supported in Project Server. To migrate these to Project
Server you must disconnect all your plans from the resource pool. Import the
resources in your resource pool to Project Server's Enterprise Resource
Pool, and then import your projects to the enterprise.

This is a completely different approach from your current configuration.
