Need help with some excel graphs

Been trying for three days to get this sorted!
I have created some graphs that automatically update on a monthly basis
- problem is the future months are now shown as Zero on the graph which
doesn't look so good. Is there any way of disabling this or having a
formula that places a value in another cell.
Any help on this would be great...

Hi,

1.. On your graph select the Y axis,
2.. then right click to get the menu
3.. in format axis, select the "Scale"
4.. Put a value in the maximum.

Thanks for your reply JP, but don't think that I was clear enough with
what the problem was. I am using a plotted line graph and it plots to
the present month and then there is a big dive down to zero for the
next monthand then a continuation along the zero axis - dont' know how
I can get rid of this sudden dive. Is there a formula that you can use
to say that if the value is zero then do not include??? If this makes
any sense then great - otherwise I'll create a dummy file and post it
up tomorrow.

Hi Richard - have tried that and had no joy still show this dive.
What I've done is attached a dummy graph and data that anyone can play
around with - shows what I'm going on about more clearly. The problem
seems to be that there is a formula in the cells hence the fact that it
is not blank. Ideas that I've had - put the formula in another cell and
somehow places a value in the relevant cell if condition is true???
Anyways - hope this gives you a better idea of what I'm blabbering on
about. As ever - any help is greatly appreciated...:)
Graph is on Sheet 2 and data on Sheet 1 - the two axies are past data
and comparitor data on the first and actual/target on the second. I
have target figures for the year but obviously the Actuals are only
entered at month end.

You could use the NA function in your formulas. For example:

=IF(A2="",NA(),A2)

The NA function is a new one to me so thanks - still doesn't help with
my problem though so any more input would be great...
Graph again included.
