Need help writing macros

This is my first database. I have a form titled "Employees" and a subform
titled "Service Record". In the "Service Record" subform there are fields -
DepartmentName, JobName, DateIn, and DateOut. If the DateOut field is left
null in a record, I want that DepartmentName and JobName to be the employee's
current position and copy into a uneditable text box on the "Employees" form.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
