Ok, here's the low down. I am a gamer (table top and video) and one of
my friend found a really cool Dungeons and Dragons Character sheet
generator done in Excel. It's kinda big, about 5 meg in size. I have
yet to try to figure out how to modify it to add inmy own stuff (in
properties it lists a data sheet and I can not find it) and I have
found NO ONE who can figure out how to modify it. I emailed the
original creator and his reply was "I made that so long about I can't
remember how I did it" I know this is a blow off since 3rd edition DnD
has not been out -that -long. So, inspired by his work I set out to
make my own character sheet for the Palladium Games called Rifts.
Here's were I need the help (don't you just hate when ppl ramble on!).
What I am tring to do, I need anything put in worksheet 2 colum A to
appear in Worksheet 4 B7 and for what corisponds in worksheet 2 colum B
to appear in worsheet 4 B8 or B9 pending which part of A colum they are
in (OCC or RCC for those who understand Rifts).
My next dilemma is this, each class and racial class has it's own set
of skills, so in worksheet 4 I need the skills that are related to the
class from worksheet 2 to appear and any extra skills they choice from
the skill list (worksheet 3). Now They have stat. bonuses that are
listed on worksheet 1 that must be automatically calculated into the
final number that goes on worksheet 4. Ex. A level 3 character has
cooking a a base skill of 20% +4% per level and a one time IQ bonus of
5%. (I hope no-one so far is getting a migrate or bleeding fromthe
ears)
Problem 3 (yeah it goes on, but this one should be easy). In worksheet
1, it gives the list of the character stats, and each stat has it's own
one time bonus. I need to know, when a certain number is put in, how to
get the one time bonus to list on worksheet 4. Ex. Character has IQ 18
gets a one time skill bonus to all skills of 5% or he has an IQ of 16
he gets a one time bonus of 4%, so on.
I truely hope someone can help me with this, oh and since this is my
first posting at this site, please let me know if I am in the wrong
treat so I can post this in the right threat. And if you think your
good enough and want to take a crack at the DnD one I downloaded email
me I and I will send it to you.
Happy coding.
