Need monthly 'Gig Calander' Template in excel 4 working musician

N

I'm a fulltime professional, working musician in need of an excel template to
track my gig info (time, location, band name, etc.) in normal text mode and
also the dollar amounts for each gig all in one cell or (calendar day/date).
And then at the end of each week (like on the sat or sun), I want to be able
to include that particular days income (if any) along with bringing over the
sub-total for that week. And then on the last day of the month cell (or in a
seperate 'notes' type cell - perferably on the bottom right-hand corner of
the calendar) i want to have a cell that would bring down the weekly totals
for that month into a monthly total in dollars and cents. I truly hope i am
explaining myself well enough here. To me it sounds like I have to create a
cell within a cell or a field within a cell that can be setup to accept both
text data and currency data $.

Any help is greatly appreciated - Sincerely - Nightsongs/Roger Wood

Might be easier to use a small group of cells for each day and either
use wider/darker borders around the group or turn the borders off within
the group. Remember that for long fields like band names a row of cells
can be tall enough for the text to wrap onto multiple lines. The
formulas would be simpler if the cells containing currency data for the
week are all on the same spreadsheet row, so the total could be in a
column to the right of the last day of your week. Landscape orientation
may be necessary.

Of course if you expect multiple bands per day/night you might need to
have separate sheets for each week and a totals sheet for the month.
