need payment card for aerobic classes paid up front

Mike Hall \(MS-MVP\)

Bob

I had suggested the same already.. and while colour does brighten this
world, it is not always necessary..

The problem is that users do not see the connection between 'Tables' where
the obvious association is numbers, and 'Forms' where the association is
mixed text and numbers.. perhaps Microsoft should consider adding 'Forms' to
the toolbar..

The one thing that I like about coming to the Office and Publisher
newsgroups is the 'creative' element.. it is out of my sphere really, but I
like to give things a go.. I am no expert in the use of graphic design
programs, but is fun and light relief from telling others how to remove
nasties, load SP2, format and re-install the OS, et al.. the MVPs who patrol
these newsgroups are OK too..

Yes, it is frustrating when users will not experiment or help themselves in
any way.. it is scary when they ask for templates that could so easily be
created with a little imagination, but that is the way things are.. society
and the establishment are to blame for most of it.. people are left with the
understanding that every thing is out there waiting to be found.. everybody
is too reliant on modern systems and have lost the ability to create.. they
believe that computers and automation will do it all for them without the
need to know anything, because they have been told that fact..

I feel sure that Julie will get what she wants in time, and it is good that
she recognizes that a computer is an excellent tool.. it is now up to us and
others who offer help to get her started, and point her to the tools in a
program such that she can attain her goal..

Bob I said:
If you want a "just that special look" reciept/session tracker with a your
very own look, I suggest you open Word, and "exercise" your artistic
talent using a combination of WordArt, ClipArt and tables.

Also you will want a Color laser printer, to render the cards, as ink jet
printing will smudge and smear when handled, and black and white laser
looks like you copied it on one of those cheap desktop copiers.

Hope this helps you get back on track with your project.
does it not make sece that if i was using the computer to find a payment
card that is the road i wanted to take if i was not using the computer i
would not have ask for help thank you for the help i got "JoAnn Paules

A 50 page receipt book costs about 2 dollars at Wal-mart and does
carbonless copies so you have a record too.

Well, maybe not crappy but...

I guess it still surprises me that people don't always ask questions
well.
People know how to tell the doctor that they aren't feeling well or
how to
describe their automotive problems, but *sometimes* questions about
computer
issues leave the reader scratching their heads saying, "Huh?"

Believe me, I've responded in ways that have made me feel crappy
(especially
the one time I told someone to RTFM) but not this time. ;-)

It sounded like she wanted someone to fork over their credit card
number
so she could pay for aerobics classes. The internet has launched a
whole
new way to panhandle and I thought that was this way.

To the OP, my apologies. To everyone else, I will still accept any
donations toward increasing my bead stash. :)

Julie

Decide on how the payment card should look and what elements it
should
contain.. then create a table in MS Word or Publisher.. quickly
learn
how to connect cells and format text within cells, and you will
have a
professional looking payment card in no time at all..

Good luck

Bob made a bad pun. "Exercise" your artistic talents............ I can't
even type the word exercise without my muscles hurting.
