Need some help returning a value

Ok, here's the issue, i'm trying to create a formula, that will
a) look at the value of a specific cell
b) find that exact value in a defined column, on a diffferen
worksheet
c) return the value in the column and cell next to the found value


is that at all possible???

in english, i have a list of zip codes with other info on on
worksheet, then a list of zip codes and a coresponding value for thos
zipcodes on another worksheet, and i need to match the corespondin
number to the zipcodes on the first page.... I don't know if tha
explination helped but it makes sense in my head... I really could us
some help... if anyone can understand what I'm trying to do

thank you I wasn't all that sure which forum would be the best to post
it under and i thought the way I explained it the second time made more
sense so i might get a better answer thank you though!!
