Need to document batch schedule and job dependencies, help?

Any suggestions, templates on how to document job schedules and their
dependencies? Thougt of using MS Project, but not sure how to use time as a
dependency in that?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1. "Time" is not a dependency of "Schedule". Schedule is defined as the sum
of the times assigned to all tasks on the Critical Path.

2. From your question I am unclear as to what it is, exactly, that you wish
to achieve, so I will take a best guess that you are talking about a WBS
(Work Breakdown Structure). I usually create my WBS in Word, using Word's
Outline feature to lay out appropriate numbering. I can then use copy/paste
to put the WBS into an MS Excel spreadsheet, which I then import into MS
Project in order to perform my PERT analysis, organize tasks into phases,
schedule individual tasks, assign resources, etc.
