NEED TO IMPORT OUTLOOK CALENDAR INTO PUBLISHER AUTOMATICALLY

P

Paul Inglesby

Hello,

I need help with Publisher - I have created a web page for work and I need
my outlook calendar to feed into the web page - notifying all of significant
events.

Is this possible or am I asking to much?

Many thanks in advance

Paul

Paul,

You've got a tough one; I don't know a way of doing that. But keep
watching, there may be a genius among us.

This can be achieved in a fairly easy way but the results may be fairly
horrible.
In Outlook, save your calendar to an html file via File->Save as web page
In your Publisher document, use Insert->HTML Code Fragment to insert an
IFrame and point it at your document exported from Outlook.
(Learn how to use iframes here:
http://www.webdesign.org/web/html-and-css/tutorials/basic-iframe-code.9081.html)
You'll probably need to play with the width and height values a bit to get
an acceptable result, should that actually be possible.

It would be possible to create a much better solution via custom
programming, but you're unlikely to get that for free.
A much better result could probably be achieved by not using outlook to
generate the calendar data, and Publisher is not a good tool to be using to
make your web pages either, for that matter.
Try typing "web page calendar" into google and you will find numerous better
solutions.
