Hi, I have been given a model to work on and find this calculation among
many. I have never seen a calculation start or end like this.
The AB$$ = "Projected" I understand. What is perplexing is why there is a
space then the MAX function is shown. Then, toward the end is a hard space
where it starts AB145*FILETWO.XLS. The formula is returning a value but I
don't know why.
Can anyone help me understand why it would start like this and actually work?
=AB$4="Projected" MAX(IF($A148="% of
GP",AB$145*INDEX('[FILEONE.xls]Drivers'!$F$6:$F$61,MATCH($B147,'[FILEONE.xls]Drivers'!$A$6:$A$61,0)+1),IF($A148="%
of
Revenue",AB$132*INDEX('[FILEONE.xls]Drivers'!$F$6:$F$61,MATCH($B147,'[FILEONE.xls]Drivers'!$A$6:$A$61,0)+1),IF($A148="Ann.
Growth",P148*(1+INDEX('[FILEONE.xls]Drivers'!$F$6:$F$61,
MATCH($B147,'[FILEONE.xls]Drivers'!$A$6:$A$61,0)+1)),
"NEED INPUT"))),0) AB145*FILETWO.XLS] P&L Comparison'!AA$44
Thanks,
Kerry
