NEED TO UNINSTALL MS OFFICE 2007.....DESPERATE!

Jon

MS Office 2007 beta is messing up every single setting on my computer, i cant
email anyone anymore, none of the documents i create work at school any more,
big problem. Also, for some odd reason, my dvd and cd drives will randomly
show as installed and avaible, this also started happening shortly after i
installed microsoft office 2007 beta.

I have tried using the control panel's add/remove programs, as well as
manually deleating the entire microsoft office and microsoft works folders on
my C:\\ drive.

Im open to any and all suggestions, as strange or odd or stupid as they may
seem, they are worth gold to me right now.

I thank anyone and everyone who tries to help me with this in advance.

Thanks,

Jon

I actually got it to uninstall, after running a ms office diagnostic, it
found and corrected a few problems, and its uninstalling now.

Now i just go have to give the pig another $100 out off my my pocket to get
another ms office cd, i had no idea that this beta would erase the old one,
which disk is now broken.

Which version of Office did you have? I recently had to replace my copy of
Office XP Pro and it wasn't anywhere near $100.

Jon,

You already did what can be done. Just make sure your bios is correct
and your hard drive is recently defragmanted. Then, download
RegistryMechanic. Short of a reformat and clean install, all you can do
is uninstall the Office 2007 beta and install office 2003 or 2002. Then
you have major registry issues to resolve for which Registry Mechanic
is most suited.

The OP should absolutely avoid using so-called Registry Fixer programs.
I am unaware of any DOCUMENTED instances of a Registry Fixer program
repairing a Registry that is known to be broken.
The Windows XP newsgroups, on the other hand, receive regular pleas for help
from users who have used a Registry fixer program to break the Registry so
badly as make a working computer unbootable.
