Need to View Remaining Work in Timephased Data

John Moran

I am interested to learn how to view Remaining Work in
Timephased Data through the Resource Usage View or the
Task Usage View. It appears that this feature is not
currently in MS Project 2000 or 2002? Correct me if I am
wrong. Also, if this feature is not available, do you
know of whether or not this has been reported to Microsft
as a feature enhancement to the software?

John:

Looking at either usage view, in a plan that is up-to-date, the time-phased
"remaining work" is displayed as "work" in the grid to the right of the
current status date. In other words, all work is remaining work, until it is
completed or removed from the plan. If you want to see the cumulative
remaining work as a total, apply the work table to the usage view, which
changes the display on the left to display work value summaries.

John --

The Remaining Work for each task assignment is available in either the Task
Usage or Resource Usage view when the Work table is applied (View - Table -
Work). The Remaining Work values are not available in the timephased grid
(yellow/white timesheet on the right). Hope this helps.
