Need watermarks on some pages but not all

Hi everyone, I'm using Word 97 and need to put a waterwark
on the last 6 pages of a 26 page document. I tried to
follow the help section but got completely confused when
it mentioned inserting a clipart.

Can someone guide me through the process?

1. Insert a next-page section break at the end of page 25.

2. Edit the header or footer. Uncheck the 'Same as previous' button on the
Headers and Footers toolbar.

3. Attach your watermark graphic to the header or footer. Are you using a
clipart watermark? My preference is WordArt, but the procedure is the same.

Create a field in your document's footer.

{ If { Page } > { = { NumPages } - 6 } "" "" }

The field delimeters {} must be inserted in pairs using Ctrl-F9, not typed.

Put your insertion point between the first set of "".

Insert > Word Art
or Insert > Picture > Word Art

Type your watermark (or insert some clip art).

Right click on it to format it. Set the layout to be behind text.

Position it on the page where you want it. This doesn't require a section
break.

Can someone help me with a watermark question? I am putting a document together and I need to set up sections with difference watermarks. Is that possible?

Sure. Each time in your document that you need to change from one watermark
to another, or from a watermark to no watermark or vice versa, insert a Next
Page section break at the start of that page. After all your section breaks
are inserted, view the Header. There will be a different one for each
section you created. For each header: turn off 'Same as previous' on the
Header and Footer toolbar; insert, delete, or modify the text of the water
mark to be appropriate for that section of your document; move on to the
next section using the button provided on the Header and Footer toolbar.
