While I'm typing my document, I get these green and red squiggly lines under my type. This really bugs me. How do I get rid of these?

THanks!

One way is to improve your grammar and spelling :)

Green means your grammar is not following the rules, red means a spelling
mistake :)

See "Turn off automatic spelling checking" in the Word Help.

The green squiggles, indicate a grammar problem (could be too many
spaces between words.

Red squiggles indicate spelling mistakes.

Hi Vera,

Spelling and grammar checking is not necessarily an "all or nothing"
proposition. On the Word menu choose Preferences. In the Authoring and
Proofing tools section, choose Spelling and Grammar. Here you can turn
various kinds of checking activity on and off.

In the Grammar section there's a Writing Style pop-up. Choose a less
restrictive writing style from the choices offered, or click the
Settings button to really fine-tune what is checked and what is not.

I know, someone else just answered this, and despite reading the message
I didn't see the reference until after I posted my reply. <Smack Head>
