negative numbers to positive numbers in excel

If it's a recurring need, one way:

B1: =ABS(A1)

If it's a one-time need, one way:

Put -1 in a cell. Copy the cell. Select the cells to negate. Choose
Edit/Paste Special, selecting the Values and Multiply radio buttons.

Note that if the selection contains positive numbers too, they will change
to negative.
