Nervous footnotes

L

Leroy

I'm writing a long text and notice that foonotes will only hold if they
occupy a single line. More than that and the remaining lines leap to another
page. What could I be doing wrong? Perhaps it is necessary to point out that
more text follows the insertion point of the footnote.

I have Windows 2000 with WinXP Home Edition 2002-Service Pack 1.

It probably has to do with the Footnote Text style being set to "keep
together" or something.... Check out this link, see if its suggestions apply
and help:

P.S. You might want to experiment with Normal View, which means you wouldn't
notice this problem until you were all done writing, when it might be easier
to sort it out.
