Nesting Logical Functions

I am having trouble with syntax when nesting logical
functions in the COUNTIF function. All I want to do is
count if a value is in a range (greater than x, less than
y).

I would appreciate any help.

Are you using Excel? Can you provide us with the current function
syntax so we have something to reference?
