.NET app is losing excel macro certificate when saveas

I have a .net application that is opening an excel workbook, refresing the
queries and pivottables and savign it as another workbook. The macros in the
original are signed usign a digital certificate, however the workbook that is
saved is no longer signed.

Has anyone any idea as to why this might be and a solution ?
