Network Password

I've recently upgraded to office xp from 2000 and I now
get asked for my password each time a new e-mail arrives.
The Microsoft website says this is something to do with a
registry setting and includes instructions for removing
the entry from the registry for versions of windows up to
2000, but I'm on Windows XP Home edition. Please help
with instructions on what to do.
