network password

A (intranet) network password is asked when starting up some of my
PowerPoint presentations. Just closing (and not filling in username
and password) this window gives me the correct presentation. There are
also no internet links created in the presentation.
How to get rid of this question?

While it always is risky (user might have changed the focus) to use a
"SendKeys {ENTER}", it is sometimes the easiest way.

This request could be tied to a linked Excel based chart, linked graphic or
a hyperlink to another file; anything that originally came from the secure
network. PPT is simply noting the item link and asking you for access to
update, even though it does not exist to you.
I am certain (any want to chime in here...) you can eliminate these ghost
links through PPTs native functions. I personally use and recommend Fix
Links Pro (a pay for add-in
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptools/fixlinks/index.html) to generate a report
and resolve these type of issues.
