hi dear
We have a shared netwokr printer, Brother HL-2700 series. It refused working
these days. the error message is EF5. Everytime, i have to turn off the
printer first, and then turned on, to keep it working for a while. This is a
cycled situation. is there anyone here knows what's problem? your help will
be very appreciated. many thanks.

Hello Jon:
"EF5" is neither an MS Office error, nor an Operating Systeme error.
For problems with Brother printers, you should visit Brother technical
support.
A five-second search of Brother FAQs revealed this information (no, I do not
even own a Brother printer):
"My printer displays ERROR EF5. What should I do?"
HL2600CN PS 44F5 Charge HV Unit Error
1. Power off the printer.
2. Wait 5 seconds.
3. Power on the printer.
4. If the error does not clear, power off the printer.
For referral to an Authorized Service Center, contact the
Brother Customer Service department at 1-877-284-3238.
