Network Resource

If you have your Office CD in the CD drive and point the installer to it
when it asks, does it help?

What is the original problem that you are trying to fix in Outlook? Perhaps
all of this is unnecessary?

Milly:
Thanks again for replying. My original problem was that Windows Installer
window appeared every time I launched Outlook or did a Windows file search.
After over a week of creating more problems than I corrected, I finally
resolved the problem. It got to a point where I could not download MS updates
(it stated that I was missing .MSP files) and could not uninstall and/or
redinstall Office 2003 from the installaion disk (it stated that I was using
a Network Resource that was unavailable).

THE SOLUTION: I downloaded the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
(msicuu2.exe) and installed it. I ran the cleanup utility and REMOVED
Microsoft Professional Office 2003 from the list of programs. I than rebooted
and reinstalled Office 2003 from the installation disk. During the
installation process, it did ask for the Product Key, but nothing else.

NET RESULTS: Everything works perfectly. I did see this solution suggested
by someone else, but the procedure was not explained fully.

Hope this posting helps others with Windows Installer problems.
