networked computer emails

Hi all, I don't know if this is possible or not but i'm trying to set u
an email for a networked computer using the same domain name. have th
domain of freeuk.com with a username in front i,e [email protected]
and i want to set it up so the other pc has name.xxxxxxxx.freeuk.com
Is this even possble?

Are you wanting to name the computer or create an email address for it? You
can certainly create any email address you want, if you own the domain, but
the computer can't receive email directly - you need to use an email client
on that computer.

If you just want to name the computer using that format - go to control
panel, system, and change the name and domain.

You can have 10 computers getting emails from the same email address. If you
want to call the computer the same name on the same network, NO you can't do
that, or shouldn't....

If both of your PCs are going to be referencing the same freeuk mailbox and
that mailbox will be receiving messages addressed to either address, then both
PCs must be configured to leave messages on the server. If you want each PC
to ignore messages intended for the other address, then you'll need to use
rules that delete those messages not addressed to the correct address.
Configure each PC to delete from the server messages that are deleted on the
PC and/or to delete messages older than a specific interval. Both of these
latter settings are in the account properties along with the option to leave
messages on the server.

You can't 'network' computers by email. for @xx.domain.com address format
to work, you need to control the DNS records and have a mail server at the
subdomain.
