New Access Database

I'm currently building a new database for inventory and service management in
relation to our fleet of vehicles and grounds maintenance equipment such as
tractors, hedgecutters, mowers etc.

The idea being that it will create a full service history for each piece of
equipment we own. I've entered the inventory data so each item is recorded
with its own serial number but now i want to start building up the service
history. There are several ways i can tackle this and i was wondering whether
anyone had any previous experience with a similar sort of database or could
suggest anything that may make it more user friendly.

We have over 800 items of machinery and would be looking at about 2500
records per year.

Thanks

Hope you've got a big Access book; Access can easily handle that amount of
data. These two links show a data model for 1. car service center and 2. car
parts suppliers. You can probably put a nice db structure together from that
.... add a table for type of equipment. When u get your main table ideas
down, post them and see what suggestions people may have.
