New Appointments on Shortcut Bar

Here's the problem -We are using Microsoft Office 97 with
Microsoft Outlook 2000. The New Appointments box is not
available to select on the customize the Shortcut Bar. I
do not know the file that launches the New Appointments
(to the outlook calendar) Can anyone help?
