New Blank Doc corrupted and isn't blank when opened

I have Vista Home Premium, Word 2007 - New Blank Document was corrupted. I
somehow saved 3 lines of text to it which appear every time I try to open a
New Blank Doc. How do I permanently delete the lines and save it so a blank
doc actually appears? (I have no clue how it happened in the first place).
