New calendar conflict with task duration

Jeffrey

I've gone under Tools > Change Working Time and created a new calendar, 50 hr
Work Week. I've gone under Work Weeks > Details, and changed the working
times from M-F, 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. I've gone under
Tools > Options > Calendar, and changed the Default Start and End times
accordingly. Under Project > Project Information, I've assigned as the
project calendar. I've created one task, Mobilization, and made that start
per the project start date under Project Information, with a Duration of 1
day. The task shows as starting on Monday, but ending on Tuesday.
If I use the Standard Calendar, create the same single task, give it a
Duration of 1 day, and start it on the same date it starts and ends on Monday
correctly.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jeffrey,

you are not doing anything wrong.

Change the date format unter Tools > Options > View(?) to display. I think
your task will still start at 8 a.m. like project start. The missing two
hours are moved to the next day. Since you have changed working times within
an existing project, project start date (including time) was already defined.
If you change time of project start, you should be fine.
