New Computer; no new docs or saves

Hello,

I just got my new computer (a dell laptop) and the first
time I try to open Word (2002?) it tell me there has been
a major configuraton change and I need to reactivate
word. So I put in the CD as it tells me to and I hit
next, and then the screen telling me to do that
disappears... and that is all. Word is reduced in its
functional state (so it tells me) and I cannot start new
or save documents. What do I need to do?

Choose Help | Activate Product. Either it will tell you the product is
already activated, or it will start the activation process.
