New Computer with Vista trying to install Office 03

Web

I just setup my new HP Pavillion Elite e9110t which run Vista Home Premium.
I am attempting to install Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition. This is
not the OEM version, I paid $100 for it a few years ago.

I attempted the install without first removing the office 07 trial, get the
error "CD561401.CAB could not be found".

After googling the error, I have found several things that worked for other
people, they did not work for me.

I removed Office Registration entries
I renamed Program Files\Office to "OLD Office".
I tried right-clicking on the setup file and run as administator
I have rebooted and attempted to reinstall

All with no luck.

Please help.

Thanks,

That doesnt remove any Trial, your actions have only messed up your new PC
If you have a recovery cd or recovery partition with which you have to
create the recovery dvd
Recover your PC to factory supplied condition, boot it up connect to the
internet and allow Vista to update *before* you do anything else.
Only once that has done, use the Add/Remove programs dialogue to uninstall
the Office 2007 Trial together with the Activation assistant, reboot the PC
and only if the trial has been removed, install your paid for version of
Office
