New document in Word

We have Office PX Small Business locally on our
workstations. I have one node that opens a new instance
of Word 2002 every time the user hits "new document".
Publisher behaves in the same way, but Excel does not.

I have downloaded the latest Office XP service packs,
run the Support Utility for Word, and the Application
Recovery Utility for Office XP. Nothing has worked.

Does anyone know what the problem is??

uncheck the "Windows in Taskbar" box. I don't have
Publisher, but there may be a similar option in it as
well.
