New E-mail going directly into the trash

I use Verizon DSL with Outlook connector, and just started having problems
with the E-mail going directly to the trash folder in Outlook - no rules are
set up. Any suggestions?

An interesting thought, thank you, but my junk settings are set to low.
Anyway the mail isn't going to the junk folder, it's going to the trash and
bypassing the junk folder. This will happen when I shut down Outlook and
reopen it. If I had peviously moved a message to the in box and it is in a
"new" status, it will move back to the trash right before my eyes. Any other
ideas?

Only that something must be doing it - a rule is the likely culprit. You
might need to do a few tests.
