New Email Alerts in 2003

I've used Outlook 2000 for several years and always got
new email alerts. Since I've installed Outlook 2003 I
rarely get a new email alert.

What do you have checked for new mail alerts? Do you have a sound file
configured for new mail notifications? Have you configured your desktop
alerts? Do you have rules that move items to another folder? Have you set
any rules to show a desktop window?

I am afraid that you have provided little information that we can use to
help you solve your problem. Post back with the answers to the above
questions and someone will be along shortly to assist you.

Make sure you've set up the Options for alerts. It's
slightly different in 2003. It's under Tools, Options,
Email options, Advanced email options, Desktop Alert
settings--where you can customize the visual and sound
alerts.
