Hi All,

I am having a problem when i import and then show a slide-show using some
..jpg photos. When i import my photos they appear to be in the right format,
the problem begins when i show a slide-show the show cuts off half the photos
or even just show a very close up of a person/persons and does not show any
background what so ever.

Please can someone help.

Regards.

You are inserting pics which are bigger that the slide! This may not be
instantly obvious in edit view. Right click the pic and in size set the size
to = the size of the slide. You should also run comress in the picture
toolbar to reduce file size.

When you right click, select the format slide option and set the size and
position of your image

Sorry - I assumed too much!

Right click > choose "format picture"
Click the size tab and set the size.
You could also drag the size handles till you can see the slide outline
below your pic.

Sorry John,

Totally lost here.

I have my powerpoint slides in the left pane i right click and the only
options i have are cut, copy, new slide, delete slide, slide design, slide
layout, background, slide transition, and hide slide.

I do not have any format option. The format option only exists on the top
menu along with File - Edit - View etc.

Please help.

You need to work in the main screen, in the middle, not on the small view on
the left. Click on the photo and move it around until you see the edge of it.
Then follow John's instructions on dragging the resizing handle until the
photos are about the same size as the slide. Always use the corner handles to
resize as this keeps the photo in proportion. Hope this helps.
