new fonts

I recently loaded eight open type fonts into the font folder. The fonts were
purchased from adobe.com. The fonts (and many others that are in the font
folder) are not accessible from any program (MS Office programs or adobe)
Is there a limit on the fonts visible in format>font table? If so, how do I
select the fonts I want to show?
I am running XP Pro with Office 2003, and Vista Ultimate 64 with Office
2007, all programs are authentic and up to date.

The Font displayed in Office are determined by the capabilities of the
Default printer. Try making "Adobe PDF" your default printer.

Did you install them, using the File/Install New Font command? They need to
actually be installed for them to show up.
