New HP PC with office 2003 preinstalled lacks STD11N.MSI.

I purchased HP PC with 60 day trial version of Office 2003 preinstalled.

MSN won't install updates because it can't find STD11N.MSI.

STD11N.MSI is hidden in the D drive (D:\MSOCache\All
Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\). The D drive contains all
installed software, but it comes LOCKED and all files are hidden! I can't
penetrate the lock

Please advise a work around!

Have you considered purchasing Office 2003 as a work around? If my recall
is correct, trial versions do not update.

Well I guess I will.

The MSN office web site for trial version makes no mention of this. In fact,
it suggests that I install updates. Perhaps MSN should indicate this at it's
www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial web site.
