Hi:
I just got a new iMac running 10.4.7. I downloaded everything from my
older iMac (running 10.4.1), including my Microsoft Office 2001 suite.
Now, whenever I trying to open a Word attachment from a Mac mail
message, I just get a message saying that the file cannot be open, do I
want to download it to my hard disk, or choose the opening application.
I've set other Word documents on my computer to always open in
Microsoft Office 2001, Word 10.1.0, and all the non-mail-attachment
documents open just fine.
One thing I notice was that at first, there was a little lock icon on
the bottom left of the Word icon in my doc. I modified the attributes
of the Word application so it wasn't locked (it hadn't looked or
behaved this way on the former computer), but that didn't seem to help.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Kate
