New Interface

Have to say guys, after first looking at the screenies on the web site I
thought, what the hell have they done? It looks ridicolous.

I installed it, still thought the same. An hour later I absloutley loved it,
sure I think we need an option to have the older views as I work in Support
myself and I know how much headaches thats going to cause, but once I got
used to it, I never wanna go back, it's so easy to use, and so stylish,
really love the blue scheme!

Won't happen. Office 2007 will only have the new UI. If you need the
older UI, you have to revert to Office 2003.

Where can I see what the new UI is going to look like so I can brace myself?

Hi Bob,

There are several preview videos on http://microsoft.com/office/preview including using the new user interface (UI).

There is also a 'was/is' location finder for new UI (Ribbon) vs 'what we've used up to now' (toolbars) in the OfficeOnline preview
site "Help & How to" and Training tabs. You can activate the preview site without installing Office2007 by using the Active X
control from the link below.

You can also find discussions about the how/why of the new interface at the Office 2007 User team blog at
http://blogs.msdn.com/jensenh
