Hello,
At the risk of opening up an even bigger can of worms for myself...
I am looking to upgrade a couple of laptops and have sort of come to the
conclusion the PentiumM processors as part of a Centrino 'offering' are the
way to go. The difficulty I have is finding a spec to correspond with what
I happily run now which is 512MB-1GB RAM, 128MB Nvidia graphics and XGA (not
wide) output and ideally an XGA laptop screen to avoid the softness with a
non-native display.
It may be that a different spec may do the job so, essentially, my main
concerns are:
1. that I'm able to run PPT and PhotoShop and maybe another app without any
problems (would only run PPT during shows, but I'm thinking of rehearsal
needs too)
2. That I'm able to run inserted video on the laptop screen at the same time
as the output to the projector (i.e.no black boxes).
The second point seems very difficult to ascertain before purchase!
Any thoughts welcomed.
