New location - cant send test email!

Ariana

On an MS XP Pro OS, and with MS Outlook 2002 operating, I
have been away from my "home" location for several days -
and unable to SEND email, even though I have gone into
my "Account Settings" and added in the "More Settings"
information (under outgoing server).

I have tried with/without using the SPA options on the
More Settings and the main screens.

When I "test settings" i can get all 4 steps successfully
checked, but then the "send test email" fails...

I have had one suggestion to shut OFF antivirus software
to attempt send/receive test, but that did not provide
any solution. Any suggestions appreciated!

Configure your account as you have setup at home. Then press More
Settings... on the SMTP server settings select that your server requires
authentication and put in the same account information you use to collect
your mail.

If this fails as well contact your ISP whether they have specific security
checks. Some ISP's for instance do not allow you to connect to their
mailserver from another network.
