New Mail Desktop Alert Greyed out

When I right click on the New Mail Desktop Alert in the System Tray, it
appears greyed out and I can't turn it off. I also looked under the Internet
Options area and it is greyed out there as well.

Any ideas?

Tools>Options>Email Options>Advanced email options--set it up there.

Thanks, but that's what I meant when I said I go to Internet Options area
and greyed out there as well. I need to be a little more detailed in my
descriptions.
