Using Access2003 and have form & subform, each with navigation buttons at
bottom of their respective form. Standard data entry is to open the Parent
form and enter new record data and then tab into subrorm and add 3 or 4
subform records.
When I click on the new record navigation button on the parent form, I get a
new blank form and subform but my cursor is on the first field on the
subform. Of course, any data entry on the subform before there is data on
the main parent form results in disaster.
How do I force the new form to open on control [ISLot] on the main parent
form?
I can do this with a separate control, but my access application users are
addicted to using the navigation button new record route. Alternatively, is
there a way to take away their new record navigation button and keep the next
and previous record buttons?
