New Resource Custom Field does not show on Reporting DB / OLAP

This relates to Project Server 2007

We created a custom resource field about 2 months ago, but never populated
the fields with values. We have recently added the custom values, but noticed
that this new enterprise custom field does not show on OLAP or on any of the
resource tables/views in Reporting DB. I have verified that the field does
exist and is populated as expect in the Published DB.

Any idea on why, how to fix?

Hi, OLAP needs configuring to include the values. Note that only resource
fields with look up tables or flag values can be included in the OLAP cubes.

Thanks..this is a free form text field; so I guess it does not apply to OLAP.
Someone mentioned that I have to update the Reporting DB custom views (but
have not see any MS documentation that points to it?).

Hi MSPLearner,

when you create a custom field to Project server you usually have not to
amend the views provided in the DB server, they are generally poplulated
automatically. This may be a dump question, but have you actually publised
your projects / resource update in a project once you pubulated the values?
And if so, can you create a PWA view to varify if he value actually exisist.
I just want to make sure that you actually published the data, because then
you should be able to see the custom field by default in the Reporting DB
Hope this helps
